HBA 4 year player scores 1000 points in college. Alton hits career milestone Hits 1000th point during championship game 12/29/2011.
Will Alton (Sr., Pennington, NJ) achieved a rare career milestone on Thursday when he became one of only a select few Penn State Abington basketball players to reach 1000 career points. Alton, who began his collegiate career at Wilmington University (DE), transferred to Penn State Abington at the beginning of his sophomore year and began to pile on the points. Only 9 games into his senior season, Alton seems assured of adding more to that already impressive total. Alton had a double double, 17 points and 11 assists against Hartwick College. Playing in Coach Chris Potash's system, Alton has averaged over 11 points per game this season, shooting 48% from the field and 75% from the free throw line. Alton reached the plateau during the championship game of the Coaches vs Cancer Classic held at York College (PA) December 29, 2011. The Nittany Lions lost to Hartwick College 104-90. HBA Starts Travel League on Saturdays Evenings
Starting this year Hopewell Basketball will be hosting 6th Grade Girls Travel (u-12), 6th Grade Boys Travel (U-12), 7th Grade Boys (U-13) Travel and 8th Grade boys Travel (U14) . For years travel players only had the options to play up in Flemington on Saturdays or play Central Jersey on Sundays. Since Flemington will not be hosting 6th A , 7th A and 8th A grade travel teams and Montgomery only hosting B leagues HBA saw the need for a league. HBA’s league will be Saturdays evenings which still give the option to play in the Central Jersey league in Ewing and West Windsor.
